Description

The cross country ski trails in the Blackstrap provincial park were designed for the 1972 Jeux Canada Winter Games.  Currently the park maintains a 5km trail.

The entire trail has been widened, leveled and a couple of problem hills resloped. A new low slope entry/exit point to access the trails by all skill levels has been built. 3 new bypasses have been constructed to provide beginner, intermediate and expert routes. The new shelter is in place on the new access between the parking lot and first intersection.
For safety, the competition trail should be skied in a clockwise direction and caution should be exercised on all downhills.
