Invitation to Join February 21st Day Trip

The Blind Skiers group extends an invitation to skiers of all ages to join us on a chartered bus day trip to Little Red River Park, Prince Albert.

We have booked a Maxie’s charter bus, but the Blind/Vision Impaired Ski group will not have enough people to fill the bus, including our own volunteer guides and skiers; so would like to extend an invitation to SNSC members, on a first-come first-served basis, to help fill the bus, and join us for fellowship and winter fun. There will be no expectation to do guiding of blind skiers, as we will bring our own guides.

DATE: Saturday February 21
Time: Meet at 8:15 a.m., Return time at 3:00 p.m.
Meeting Location: Lawson Heights Mall parking lot,
Cost: Transportation costs are being covered by a SaskSport club development grant to the Blind Skiers.

A voluntary contribution to PA Ski Club/Little Red River Park can be made at the chalet in the park.

What to bring: Each skier would be responsible for their food (bring a lunch, or buy lunch at either Subway in Prince Albert or the chalet at Little Red park).
Destination: Little Red River Park, Prince Albert.

This is a great ski park, with an excellent lodge, scenery and trail variety.  See:
http://www.paskiclub.ca/index.php/sample-sites-2/pa-ski-clun-trails

In case of bad weather: Our cut-off temperature is windchill of minus 25 or if travel not recommended on highways.
Anyone with questions or interested in joining the trip can contact Joanne Ferguson (joann.ferguson@sasktel.net).
